Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has made history by winning the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for a record-equalling fourth time.
Fernandes has joined Cristiano Ronaldo and David de Gea in becoming only the third United player to have won the award on four separate occasions.
Despite United's struggles in the Premier League this season, the Portugal international has posted some superb numbers to help inspire his team to reach the Europa League final next week.
The 30-year-old has 19 goals and 19 assists to his name this term and has been by far and away United's best player.
Twelve of those goal contributions have come in the Europa League where he scored a hat-trick against Real Sociedad in the last 16, a goal in their dramatic quarter-final win over Lyon and a brace in the 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of their semi-final in Spain.
It means Fernandes has now won the award in 2020, 2021, 2024 and 2025. Ronaldo won the award in 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2021, while De Gea was honoured in four years out of five between 2014 and 2018.
Should Fernandes remain at the club he would be the early favourite to win the award next season, too, which would see him hold the record outright for winning the most Sir Matty Busby Player of the Year awards of any United player.
Amad, whose winning goal against Man City has been crowned Goal of the Season, was runner-up in the voting while Harry Maguire rounded out the top three.
Fernandes will hope to cap a fine season on a personal level by helping United win the Europa League next week.
They face Tottenham Hotspur in the final with the winners not only winning a European trophy but securing qualification for next season's Champions League.
