West Ham United co-owner Daniel Kretinsky has climbed up the Sunday Times Rich List after a successful year.
David Sullivan has the final say on everything at West Ham, as he is the majority shareholder at the East London outfit with a 38.8 per cent stake.
However, the Czech business tycoon is not too far behind, with his investment group, 1890s Holdings, owning a 27 per cent share.
It is also worth noting that Kretinsky is known to be wealthier than the 76-year-old chairman of West Ham.

Kretinsky 22nd in Sunday Times Rich List
Last year, Kretinsky‘s wealth stood at £6billion, putting him 33rd in the Sunday Times Rich List of the richest people in the UK.

In contrast, Sullivan was placed only 150th on the table, with his wealth standing at £1.168bn.
The difference has increased further this year, with Kretinsky’s riches rising up to a whopping £7.79bn.
The Czech has climbed to 22nd in the Sunday Times Rich List (16 May) as a result.
This means Kretinsky’s wealth has increased by £1.7bn in the span of just 12 months.

Meanwhile, Sullivan has also risen further up the list, moving seven places up.
However, that does not necessarily mean good news for the West Ham co-owner, as his wealth has dropped to £1.118bn.

West Ham owners among richest people in UK
While there is a significant difference between Sullivan and Kretinsky’s riches, the truth is that West Ham’s owners are among the richest people in the UK.
The latter is a lesser-known figure among the Irons fanbase, with Sullivan being front and centre of behind-the-scenes decisions at the London Stadium.
It is worth noting that Kretinsky is said to be overseeing the takeover of the Royal Mail and also has a stake in Saintsbury’s.
There were rumours earlier this year that the Czech businessman is considering selling up his shares at West Ham after a reported fallout with Sullivan.
However, those claims have since been rubbished.
