Everton are preparing for bigger and better things ahead of their move to their new home at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton’s Premier League clash with Southampton on Sunday will be the last of its kind at Goodison Park before the Toffees move to their new home.

After 133 long years at Goodison, the Toffees will be making the step up to Bramley-Moore, where there will be an extra 13,000 capacity.

Not only will that increase revenue and atmosphere for Everton, but it will also present them with massive opportunities from a commercial point of view, and plans are already underway to see it host a huge competition 10 years from now.

Women’s World Cup could take place at Bramley-Moore

Everton moving away from Goodison Park has provided their Women’s side with a brand new home, while the men’s team’s move to Bramley-Moore has provided Merseyside with a huge boost going forward.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Due to its increased capacity, making it one of the biggest footballing stadiums in England, it has already been identified as a potential landing spot for other competitions, with a report from The Times stating that Bramley-Moore is a “strong contender” to host the fixtures for the Women’s World Cup in 2035.

Everton must end Goodison Park stay with a win

The future is looking bright for the Toffees, but they will be just as keen to end their stay at Goodison on a high and ensure that their chapter of history ends positively.

Given that they face Southampton, the likelihood is that they will end it on a high, with hopes of taking plenty of momentum into the new campaign.
