Inter Milan have had a fantastic season with the Italian side only games away from potentially lifting the Champions League and Serie A titles.

Milan are all set to face PSG in the Champions League final on 31st May after knocking out Barcelona and Bayern Munich on their way to the final, with the Serie A title also in reach.

Despite losing to rivals AC Milan in the finals of the Supercoppa Italia and being knocked out of the Italy Cup by AC as well, the Italian side are only a point behind league leaders Napoli for the league title.

With Milan facing Lazio and Como, whilst Napoli have Parma and Cagliari, there really is all to play for in the final few games of the season.

However, Inter are now looking ahead to the summer transfer window and preparing for life without Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa as they’re set to leave at the end of their contract.

Now, the Italian side are looking to one of Manchester United’s struggling strikers to return to Serie A next season.

Inter Milan plan move for Joshua Zirkzee

In a bid to strengthen their attack, Inter Milan have been monitoring Joshua Zirkzee, who left Bologna for Manchester United last summer for £34 million.

However, the Italian side have now ironed out the details of their plan to land the Dutch striker, as reported by Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

It’s reported that Inter are looking to propose a loan deal first off, with an option to buy which would become an obligation to buy if certain criteria are met.

It’s understood these criteria would be purely based on Zirkzee’s performances rather than a whole team performance basis.

With the striker’s value having dropped to £30 million due to a disappointing debut season at Old Trafford, it’s understood that Inter’s obligatory buy value would be for around £30 million plus bonuses.

The valuation is accounting for Zirkzee’s proven ability in Serie A and his age, having youth on his side at only 24 years old.

However, whether United agree to such a deal is a different matter, with Ruben Amorim recently deciding he wants to retain the striker, seeing the potential for growth in his system.
