Manchester United are desperate to revitalise their attack this summer after a dismal season, resulting in their worst Premier League campaign on record.
The Red Devils have been heavily reliant on Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo for goal contributions, either setting them up or converting, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee failing to provide consistency up top.
As such, United are close to signing Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha and continue to work on luring Ipswich Town frontman Liam Delap to Old Trafford.
However, United reportedly aren’t stopping there, with their eyes still focused on one of Sporting Lisbon’s impressive attacking stars.

The Theatre of Red has reported that United are monitoring Sporting winger Pedro Goncalves going into the summer transfer window.
Despite being injured for a lot of the season, Goncalves has still registered five goals and six assists in 18 games, averaging at only 63 minutes played per game.
Able to play across both wings and in attacking midfield, Goncalves offers United another strong option to fit anywhere in their attack, bringing versatility to the side.
A move for Goncalves has been on the cards since Ruben Amorim took charge at Old Trafford, moving from the Liga Portugal side.
The 26-year-old made his name at Sporting under Amorim, grabbing 81 goals and 61 assists in 190 games under the Portuguese manager, showing the pair work well together.
However, the primary stumbling block right now is Goncalves’ recovery from injury.
United have already experienced an injury crisis at Old Trafford over the last two season, so need to be sure of the winger’s fitness prior to any discussions over a summer move.
