Dan Ndoye's agent has revealed the Bologna forward is "ready for the next step" amid rumours linking him with a move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Ndoye, 24, has impressed once again for Bologna this season, scoring nine times and adding five assists in 39 appearances across all competitions. He netted the winner as they beat AC Milan 1-0 on Wednesday to lift the Coppa Italia - their first major trophy in 51 years.

Speculation has since increased over his future, with Liverpool among a list of teams said to be interested in the Switzerland international. Napoli, however, appear to be leading the race and were close to signing him in January, as Antonio Conte looked to strengthen his squad.

Now, Ndoye's agent Fahd Adamson Mansoor has opened up on his future and hinted that he could leave Bologna in the summer window, with Liverpool said to be keen.

"He attracted interest from half of Europe at the Euros, but winning the Coppa Italia thanks to his goal is something unforgettable," Mansoor told TMW. "It was moving to see him this happy. He was so delighted that he almost didn't remember who he had scored."

He added: "Let's start by saying that many big clubs wanted him, but Bologna was a wise choice, and the night in Rome confirmed it. It's a perfect step. It's a healthy club where he had the chance to play consistently and become one of the best players in the league.

"We must sit down with Bologna and understand. Dan has grown, and we must understand what Saputo's club wants to do. Many clubs want him, and I can’t deny that we receive requests from Europe every day."

Bologna sold Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal and Joshua Zirkzee to Manchester United last summer and Ndoye could be the latest star to leave the club and move to the Premier League.

"Bologna sold some of their best players last summer and we'll see what they want to do now," Ndoye's agent concluded. "We must make assessments alongside the club, so it's too early to say what will happen.

"There are requests and surely he's ready for the next step. But he has already made history with Bologna, so we can’t rule out that he'll do it again, right?"

Ndoye impressed during Bologna's Champions League defeat against Liverpool back in October. He was one of his side's standout performers on the night, even if they lost. Speaking after facing the Reds at Anfield, Ndoye revealed he is working to play for a "world's top club".

"I constantly work to play in my position for a world's top club and I’m aware that I have the quality to do it," Ndoye told Sky Sport. When I was a kid they told me I couldn't become a professional, but I never listened to them and now I'm here. That's why I set myself no limits.

"I went through highs and lows during my career and this made me stronger from every point of view. It is no coincidence that today I’m in a club who play [in] the Champions League. The path is right, but there’s still much to do."
