Real Madrid assistant coach Davide Ancelotti is attracted to the idea of taking over at Rangers this summer, The Rangers Review journalist Christopher Jack has revealed.
The Italian tactician is expected to leave Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season and pursue his first managerial role after spending over a decade working alongside his father Carlo.
Ancelotti has reportedly held positive discussions over a move to Glasgow, although he has yet to make a final decision regarding his next career step.
Rangers are expected to learn within two weeks whether Ancelotti will sign a deal at Ibrox and take on the challenge of bringing the Premiership title back to the club.

According to The Rangers Review, Ancelotti is believed to have opportunities in several leagues ahead of his looming Real Madrid departure, but is drawn to the idea of succeeding Barry Ferguson at Ibrox.
Positive talks between both parties have reportedly taken place, and a decision is expected by the end of the month, although Rangers have yet to table a formal contract proposal.
Ancelotti, described as ‘one of the most sought-after coaches in Europe’, has served as assistant to his father Carlo at Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli and Everton.
He first joined forces with the legendary Italian manager at Paris Saint-Germain during the 2011/12 season, where he worked as a fitness coach.
His father Carlo has already confirmed he will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, having been appointed Brazil’s national team manager ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Rangers are believed to have several alternatives to Ancelotti in their manager search, including former boss Steven Gerrard.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the ex-Liverpool midfielder remains in contention among other names as the Premiership giants continue to assess their options.
