The Golden State Warriors will head into the offseason after losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the playoffs. The Warriors wanted to make a deep playoff run, but the hamstring injury to Stephen Curry may have hurt their chances, and it's still not certain if they would've won if he were healthy. Nonetheless, they should be happy with the turnaround they made in the middle of the season, and it was because of the Jimmy Butler trade.
There were many other trades that happened around that time, including Luka Doncic being sent to the Los Angeles Lakers, which had almost everybody in the NBA world shocked. The Warriors were one of the teams that couldn't believe it, and their live reaction was caught by Alan Keating.

The Warriors seemed to be at a team event when the news broke, and Curry was the first to show Draymond Green and Buddy Hield. No one could believe it, including assistant general manager Kirk Lakob, who asked if the trade was fake.

“This is April Fools two months early,” a person in the background said.
Curry then wanted to see Kirk Anderson's reaction to the trade, and was shocked as well. Toward the end of the reaction, Curry got on a phone call and started screaming with a smile on his face, which is probably how many people looked when they heard about the trade.
