Erling Haaland is on a mission to give Manchester City team-mate Kevin De Bruyne the winning send off he deserves.

De Bruyne will line-up for City against Crystal Palace in Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley. The showpiece game will be one of the Belgium superstar's last, before he leaves the Etihad this summer.

The 33-year-old is looking for a new club, after City bosses refused to hand him a new deal. The midfielder has won six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups and the League Cup five times with City.

Haaland has told City that De Bruyne will be "irreplaceable" - and wants to help his big mate win one final trophy.

He said: "We would love for Kevin to finish with a trophy.

"He has had an incredible time at Manchester City, it is ridiculous how many trophies he has won. Hopefully he will get one more trophy.

"He ranks right up there for me. To get the balls from him is a dream. It has been really special playing with him. Such a joy, and I am going to do everything I can to have this joy in the last few games.

"The future will be different with different players. When Kevin leaves we will need someone to replace him - although Kevin is irreplaceable in so many ways."

City currently lie fourth in the Premier League table, as they fight to secure Champions League qualification for next season, following a disappointing campaign.

After the FA Cup final they face Bournemouth at home, in De Bruyne's last ever appearance at the Etihad Stadium, on Tuesday, May 20.

The Citizens then travel to London to meet Fulham in their final game of the season at Craven Cottage on Sunday, May 25.

They then will enjoy a short break before the FIFA Club World Cup begins on June 18, with fixtures against Morrocan side Wydad Athletic, United Arab Emirates outfit Al Ain and Italian giants Juventus in the group stage.

However, De Bruyne's participation in the tournament remains in doubt, with the star pushing for an early exit as he looks to make a free transfer this summer.
