Everton manager David Moyes insists he is not worrying about the prospect of his players who are approaching the end of their current contracts being contacted by other clubs. A total of 14 players on the Blues’ books are due to come to the end of their current deals or loans this summer.
Asked during his pre-match press conference for the final men’s first team fixture at Goodison Park between Everton and Southampton whether the prospect of potential suitors plotting transfer raids by talking to his players concerned him, Moyes said: “No, I’m not particularly worried. We can only do things at our time.
“We’ve just got Angus (Kinnear, the club’s first full-time chief executive for almost two years) through the door, we’re trying to put things in place.

"We’ve been trying to keep the players behind the scenes as aware of the situation as we possibly can.
“We’ll let some of them know probably before the end of this week and there will be others in different situations who we feel we’ll have to wait until next week. It’s a difficult situation when you’ve got so many of this number out (of contract) and I think we’ve got five players on loan in total which is the most in the Premier League.
“So, there’s different situations for those boys as well and we have players out of contract as you well know.
"We will get to it, so it won’t be too long.”
The 62-year-old acknowledged that there could be some kind of confirmation before the visit of the Saints. He said: “We may announce something before the final game.
"We’re down the road with quite a few situations at the moment, there’s quite a lot going on behind the scenes, we’re just not quite there yet with announcements, but we’re not too far away.
“I think it would be wrong (to offer hints). I like to make sure the players are all aware of situations.”
