Facundo Buonanotte will be pushing for a start when Leicester City host Ipswich in their final home game on Sunday.
Jamie Vardy is not the only player who will be saying goodbye to the King Power Stadium at the weekend, with the Brighton loanee to head back to the south coast at the end of the season.
It’s up for debate whether his final home game comes as a starter or as a substitute.
After earning back-to-back results against Southampton and Nottingham Forest with the same 11, City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy may be tempted to stick with the same line-up against the Tractor Boys.
However, Buonanotte was influential off the bench at the City Ground, dribbling through for the equaliser having helped swing the momentum City’s way.
If he does come into the side, it would likely be for Jordan Ayew, with Bilal El Khannouss and Kasey McAteer to keep their places in the line of three behind Vardy.
However, Ayew did a decent job in holding the ball up prior to Buonanotte’s introduction, and so the Ghanaian may be retained.
The other big decision is in midfield. Oliver Skipp has started the past two games, his first starts since December, but was taken off on the hour at Forest, with Boubakary Soumare having an impact off the bench.
For now, it still feels like Skipp has the edge and will be afforded another chance to impress against Ipswich.
Ricardo Pereira is pushing to be fit but if he does make it back in time to feature in Sunday’s game, it will likely be as a substitute, with James Justin to continue at right-back.
Predicted City XI (4-2-3-1): Stolarczyk; Justin, Faes, Coady, Thomas; Ndidi, Skipp; McAteer, Ayew, El Khannouss; Vardy.
Subs from: Iversen, Okoli, Ricardo, Coulibaly, Kristiansen, Soumare, Page, Buonanotte, Golding, Monga, Evans, Daka.
