£20M Brazilian star is on the radar of Leeds United – midfielder could arrive at Elland Road…

Leeds United go into this summer knowing they have to build a squad capable of surviving the Premier League. Daniel Farke and the recruitment team will have a lot of decisions to make.

The Whites will not make so many changes to the team due to financial regulations. But some players will be sold to bring in new faces. Recent news has showed that Leeds are targeting top class talents from outside England, while eyeing targets from the Premier League. Daniel Farke has had some success signing players from Germany – Ao Tanaka and Illia Gruev are recent examples.

This week, reports have linked the club to another player from Daniel Farke’s former club. Galatasaray star Gabriel Sara is said to be a target for the Whites. Graeme Bailey has reported that the 25-year old is ‘on the radar’ on Leeds United this summer. Sara was heavily linked with a move to Elland Road before he left Norwich.

Manchester City were also linked with a move for the Galatasaray midfielder this summer. Sara was signed for £20million and is under contract until 2029. The reports have hinted that any deal for the Brazilian will not come cheap.

Gabriel Sara would be an upgrade

Daniel Farke was very vocal before this campaign that he needed a creative profile at the number 10 role. Leeds missing out on multiple targets, including Gustavo Hamer, meant Brenden Aaronson was the main starter for the rest of the season.

Gabriel Sara has been utilised in a deeper role in Turkey, but was a more attacking midfielder in the Championship. His creativity has shone this season, seven assists from midfield is one of the highest marks for a player in that role in the league. If Leeds are able to grab the Brazilian, he could be a bargain for that price range.
