Liverpool have not had the best history with Real Madrid in the transfer market in recent years.
From Jude Bellingham and Aurélien Tchouaméni to the impending free transfer of Trent Alexander-Arnold, it’s fair to say the scoreline is fairly one sided.
Despite being a homegrown star and vice-captain, Alexander-Arnold rejected a contract that would have made him one of the world’s highest-paid fullbacks.
His decision to leave on a free transfer – a rarity for a player of his caliber -is a “bitter pill” for Reds fans to swallow.
And now it looks the trend is set to continue with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Real Madrid have completed all the details to acquire Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth.
The Italian gave his signature “Here We Go” to the story, and wrote on X that a medical is currently underway:
“Madrid agree all details of deal to sign Dean Huijsen, here we go!”
“Huijsen undergoing medical NOW then set to sign five year deal until 2030, Real Madrid will pay £50m to Bournemouth.”
“Real see Huijsen as top talent and Xabi Alonso wanted to bring him in.”
