West Ham United are poised to sell Jean-Clair Todibo even before his loan move from OGC Nice is made permanent.
The Irons signed Todibo on a season-long loan from Nice last summer, with an obligation to make the move permanent for £36.3million inserted into the agreement.
With West Ham set to wrap up their 2024-25 season on 25 May, the Frenchman’s move to the London Stadium is expected to be finalised imminently.
However, the East London outfit find themselves in a bind, as the centre-back has left much to be desired this season.
It is worth noting that Todibo has been accused of spreading a poor attitude in the West Ham dressing room amid their ongoing struggles.

West Ham line up Koni De Winter as Todibo replacement
It has now emerged that West Ham plan to offload Todibo as soon as his loan move becomes permanent this summer.
The Premier League club will sell the 25-year-old before next season, according to Mirko Di Natale.
The Italian journalist reported via his personal X handle on Friday (16 May) that Graham Potter’s side are eyeing Koni De Winter as a replacement instead.

However, they are not the only club interested in the Genoa defender, who is also wanted by Italian giants Inter Milan and Napoli.
The 22-year-old also has admirers in the Premier League in the shape of Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
Palace could make an approach to sign De Winter as early as next week, while Spurs are said to be preparing an offer for him already.
Todibo to leave London Stadium
Potter will be keen to strengthen his squad significantly after making only one addition to his ranks in the winter transfer window.
However, West Ham have to be smart with their finances after spending over £120m under Tim Steidten and Julen Lopetegui’s supervision last summer.
That is why it would make sense for them to cut their losses on Todibo already and bring a cheaper alternative to the London Stadium.
While it is clear how much Genoa would want for De Winter, it is certain to be lower than Todibo’s £36.3m fee.
De Winter is not the only centre-back West Ham are interested in, as they have also been credited with an interest in signing Burnley’s CJ Egan-Riley on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.
