David Moyes has constantly spoken of his desire to sign Liam Delap.
The Ipswich Town frontman has emerged as one of the hottest properties in the transfer market after notching 12 goals and two assists in 35 Premier League matches.
The Scotsman is set to be backed by the Friedkin Group in the summer and the former Manchester City man is top of his list to lead the Bramley-Moore revolution.

Everton tipped to make Delap signing
It seems inevitable that Delap will be leaving East Anglia when the transfer market reopens and the Goodison Park outfit will be keeping an eye on developments.
Iconic commentator Ian Darke believes that the Toffees stand a good chance of signing the 22-year-old despite competition from the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham that could lead to a bidding war.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, he said: “I’m not surprised to hear about the interest because the story goes there is a release clause in his contract with Ipswich at around £30million.
“Which is modest really for the number of goals he banged in and what he has looked like in a team that is going down and his age makes him attractive as well.
“I understand there is a clamour for his signature, and obviously that fee will go up because people are going to top the £30m aren’t they, to try and get him.
“I think Chelsea will be quite near the front of the queue to sign him because he fits their profile, of the kind of players that they are trying to sign, young players, doesn’t he, so that might be quite an appealing move for him.
“I definitely think he is a very viable player for Everton to go for, and I think he would be a big hit at Everton too.”

Delap would be a game-changerfor Everton
Having the future England star upfront would be a game-changing move for Moyes and Co.
The likes of Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have struggled to consistently provide goals and Delap has proven that he can do just that, in a disastrous team.

Delap has been in stunning form.
It remains to be seen what he could do with a better team around him but his form this season has to be an encouraging sign.
The Blues should do everything that they can to secure his signature.
