Leeds United could potentially have an opportunity to sign a Real Madrid centre-back Raul Asencio after an update from Fabrizio Romano.
49ers Enterprises will want to make a statement in the Premier League, and may have an opportunity to do so in the upcoming transfer window.
Paraag Marathe must invest heavily at Elland Road and give Daniel Farke the tools needed to avoid immediate relegation to the Championship.
With Romano dropping an update regarding Madrid’s business, the Whites could possibly see doors open to sanction a transfer for Asencio.

That would arguably leave Madrid’s current centre-back in a dilemma, with the 22-year-old likely to lose his place in the starting lineup.
Marathe may have a chance to give Farke a sensational transfer at Elland Road by approving a deal for Asencio.

Farke needs defensive reinforcements at Elland Road
Asencio was being followed at Elland Road during his spell at RSC Internacional during the 2022/23 campaign, and he’s now become an important squad player for Madrid.
The 22-year-old has broken into Carlo Ancelotti’s first team this season after several fitness issues at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Eder Militao and David Alaba have struggled with injuries, leading to more opportunities for the Spanish centre-back.
Leeds may be able to entice Asencio by guaranteeing regular game time, which could be difficult for him at Los Blancos after Huijsen’s arrival.
Pascal Struijk’s injury at Elland Road has highlighted the West Yorkshire outfit’s lack of depth in defence.
Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu were the Whites’ centre-back pairing in the final games of the season, with Max Wober on the bench.
Earlier in the campaign, Farke also had to include James Debayo in the squad due to the injury crisis at the Peacocks.
With promotion to the Premier League, getting someone from Madrid will undoubtedly get the fans excited for next season.
