Sunday is marking the end of an era in Everton’s history as the club wave goodbye to Goodison Park.
It is quite fitting that David Moyes will be the final manager to take to the dugout at Goodison Park on the weekend.
Everton have exciting plans for Goodison Park’s Finale where they will celebrate the achievements of their club legends.
A number of club legends will be on display after full-time as the fans get to pay their final goodbyes to the Old Lady.
Duncan Ferguson will be at Goodison Park for the final game against Southampton.
But there will be a number of past players and managers who will be unable to make the journey to Goodison for the final time.
There is one player who Ferguson has hailed and claimed the fans did not get to see enough of before Farhad Moshiri sold him on.

Duncan Ferguson wanted to see more of James Rodriguez at Everton
Ferguson has hailed Wayne Rooney’s talent from the England legend’s early days on Merseyside.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
However, Ferguson also got to experience some of the more recent Everton players during his time as a coach on Merseyside.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Ferguson created his ultimate Everton five-a-side team from the individuals he worked with over the years.
Having picked Howard Kendall as manager, Ferguson chose the following players for his side:
Neville Southall (GK)
James Rodriguez
Wayne Rooney
Tim Cahill
Romelu Lukaku
And it was the Colombian midfielder who Ferguson really waxed lyrical about in what was perhaps a bit of a surprise selection.
“I’m going to put James Rodriguez in there, as well. Incredible player,” he said.
“The fans never seen him that much because it was the [pandemic] year.”
Rodriguez did tease a return to Everton following his departure under the Rafa Benitez era at Goodison.
However, that never materialised and the midfielder now finds himself playing his football in Mexico with Leon.
James Rodriguez did not want to leave Everton
It is clear what Ferguson thought of the Colombian who only played one season at Goodison Park before Farhad Moshiri sold after just 26 games.
Rodriguez admitted he wanted to stay at Everton in an interview he did not too long ago.
“I never wanted to leave, that much is obvious,” he said.
“I felt that I could have gone on to play two or three seasons more at the club. But it’s plain to see that the manager said that he wouldn’t be wanting me to be involved at all.”
Joao Virginia begged Rodriguez to return to Everton just last year before he made his move to Mexico after a turbulent few years.
His time at the club may have been short but it is apparent how those at the club viewed his talent.
