Aew Dynamite Viewership Increases On 5/14, Demo Also Rises

AEW Dynamite saw an increase in viewership on May 14 for its Beach Break special as it went head-to-head with the NBA and NHL Playoffs.

According to Wrestlenomics, 682,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.17 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode, when 629,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose slightly from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.16 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Hangman Page and Will Ospreay defeating Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander of the Don Callis Family.

Ricochet defeated Zach Gowen, but was chased off by Mark Briscoe during a post-match attack.

In women’s action, Mina Shirakawa defeated Toni Storm, AZM, and Skye Blue in an Eliminator match. Shirakawa will face Storm at Double or Nothing.

The main event of the show saw Jon Moxley defeat Samoa Joe to retain the AEW World Championship in a steel cage match thanks to an assist from Gabe Kidd.
