There will, indeed, be a Game 7 in the second round of the NBA Playoffs this year.
The Oklahoma City Thunder had a chance to close out the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 between the two sides, but they were unable to do so.
The Nuggets, with the help of the Mile High City, which created a remarkable environment, forced a Game 7. The series now returns to Oklahoma City for a win-or-go-home game for both sides.
Thunder center Chet Holmgren was solid in the Game 6 loss, providing 19 points, 11 rebounds and one block.
Losing 119-107, Oklahoma City needs to see major improvements if it wants to avoid a series upset loss after a 68-win campaign.

At this point, the Thunder are the overwhelming favorite to win the NBA title -- which would be the club's first time hoisting the Larry O'Brien -- but a Game 7 against the Nuggets could just get in the way of that.
Holmgren knows what the Sunday afternoon battle holds, too. It is exactly what it is: a Game 7, winner-takes-all matchup.
“We got a couple of guys who have (played in those) back in The Bubble. Mindset is exactly what it is. It’s win or go home… We know what’s at stake. Denver knows what’s at stake," Holmgren said after the Game 6 loss.
So, which side will it be? Will the Thunder or Nuggets advance to the Western Conference Finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves?
That'll be determined in a hard-fought battle on Sunday, as the series was set up for this moment exactly.
Holmgren knows what's at stake. The Thunder knows what's at stake. Fans in Oklahoma City know what's at stake. Delivering electric play and a rowdy environment will be everything, though.
