Following a second-round playoff exit, the Golden State Warriors are now heading into the offseason with a lot of questions. The biggest surrounds the roster in place, and Golden State has never been shy about making big moves.

Many have started to link the Warriors to Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, as Milwaukee could move him this offseason. Golden State could offer the Bucks a good trade package, allowing the Bucks to feel better about moving Antetokounmpo.
The Warriors have been one of the more linked teams to Antetokounmpo if he were to leave the Bucks. But it seems that Golden State may not be going after the former MVP after all.
According to Anthony Slater and Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic, the Warriors are not expected to go after Antetokounmpo this summer.
"There are no early indications that the Warriors will be at the front of the line of the yet-to-materialize Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes, league sources said. As they enter the summer, team sources said, the internal plan and conversation is about how to best reform the role players around the Curry and Butler duo, not chase another star."
If Antetokounmpo does become available, the Warriors may elect to see what it would take to land him. But Milwaukee is likely going to ask for a king's ransom, and the Warriors may not be willing to pay the price.
It seems that Golden State is looking to optimize the pairing of stars Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler going forward. After Butler came to town, the Warriors became one of the best teams in the entire NBA.
The team went 23-7 with Butler and Curry in the lineup, helping them to earn a playoff spot. Golden State then upset the No. 2-seeded Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs before Curry suffered an injury.

The Warriors may believe that the pairing could do damage next season once again, and if health is on their side, maybe compete for a title. Golden State has never been shy about going after the star player, so Antetokounmpo could still be in play.
But the Warriors may be looking to just improve what is already on the roster and try from there.
