City are back at the home of English football to prepare for the 2025 FA Cup final on Saturday afternoon where we will take on Crystal Palace (kick-off 16.30 UK).
This latest Wembley clash marks the third successive FA Cup final appearance for Guardiola’s side – and comes on the back of City also recording seven successive FA Cup semi-final appearances at the venue, an English record.
All told, adding in Carabao Cup final and Community Shield appearances as well, Saturday’s showpiece will take City’s tally of Wembley appearances under Pep in his near nine-year tenure to 21 – significantly more than any other English side in that period.
And addressing the media at his pre-match press conference ahead of the final, the Blues boss said it was a feat worthy of the highest praise.
“It’s not just three finals in a row; it’s seven semi-finals in a row in the FA Cup. That is a huge achievement,” Pep declared.

“How many times have we been to Wembley in the last 9/10 years? More than 20 times in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Community Shield.
“That is a success. No team has played at Wembley in semi-finals and finals more.
“We travel, take the train down to London, then prepare. Its impressive.
“The players, like myself, have an incredible mindset to say that when it’s over it’s over. In one week, 10 days the season will be over. Then we start a new season in the Club World Cup.
“At the same time, we are there to climb the stairs and to try to lift the trophy.”
