Cucurella heads home
Manchester United suffered an 18th Premier League defeat of the season at Stamford Bridge on Friday night, losing 1-0 to Champions League hopefuls Chelsea.
Marc Cucurella's second half header was just enough to seal all three points for the home side, who had earlier been awarded a penalty only for it to be overturned.
United, who are now winless in eight Premier League games for the very first time, thought they had taken the lead themselves in the first half when Harry Maguire guided home a Bruno Fernandes cross from the left. However, a quick VAR review deemed him to be just offside.
United frustrated Chelsea for long periods of the contest, meaning nerves were increasing among the home supporters. Aston Villa beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the other game, meaning Chelsea had to match their result to remain in charge of their top five aspirations.
Full focus for United now, of course, switches to Wednesday night's massive Europa League final against Spurs at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.
