Man Utd were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea in the Premier League on Friday night ahead of their Europa League final vs Tottenham.
Amorim made five changes to his starting line up for the Stamford Bridge defeat, with Andre Onana selected in goal, while Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro played in central midfield. Marc Cucurella scored the only goal of the match as they exploited the United defence following a string of second-half substitutions.
Several United players went down with minor knocks during the match, while a host of senior stars were taken off in the final stages to keep them fresh for the forthcoming final. United could redeem their season with Champions League qualification next week and Amorim admitted that had an influence on how he managed the match.

If I put some players out, it was like ten days without a game, I don’t like that. I think the best way to prepare for a final, when you have time to fully recover and prepare the next game, is just to compete, and we are Manchester United, so we need to compete in every game.”
