There have been rumors about which team could strike a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks to acquire star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. Among the rumored teams are the San Antonio Spurs. A trade proposal with Antetokounmpo and the Spurs would lead to a pairing with Victor Wembanyama.
The Spurs have the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft and could use it to draft a top prospect. They can also use it to facilitate a trade and land a coveted superstar in Antetokounmpo. The draft pick holds power, and there has been a mock trade from San Quinn and CBS Sports.
Quinn proposed a three-team deal involving the Bucks, Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans.

Quinn's mock trade could lead to a potential frontcourt tandem between the Greek Freak and The Alien. On Friday, The Athletic's Sam Vecenie published a piece that discussed a potential trade for the Spurs.
In his piece, an anonymous Eastern Conference executive talked about how it could affect San Antonio's title chances.
"If the Spurs paired Giannis and Wemby, they would be the favorite to win the title next year," said the executive. "They’d have two guys who might be top-five players in the league next year on the same team. Plus, they fit."
The executive continued to talk about how strong the Spurs would end up being. The Texas-based franchise will be a dominant defensive pair, given the length of Antetokounmpo and Wembanyama.
On offense, the executive said the Spurs would be a better five-out team than the current Bucks. That is, if they surround the two international stars with the right wings.
Antetokounmpo's future remains uncertain, and that will be discussed by the two-time MVP and the organization in the offseason.
