Julia Bonilla issued a statement via her Instagram account on Friday in response to a story about her relationship with Rudy Gobert going public.
On Friday, TMZ Sports reported about the status of Bonilla and Gobert’s relationship. They say Gobert kicked Bonilla and their 1-year-old son out of the house last month. That reportedly occurred not long after Bonilla became pregnant with the couple’s second child.
After the story got out, Bonilla addressed matters via her Instagram Story.
“I’m going through one of the most painful times in my life, feeling isolated, far from my family and friends. I considered Rudy the love of my life. I left everything for him. I gave him a child and poured my heart into our relationship,” Bonilla wrote.
“When everyone criticized and insulted him, I stood by him, always putting him first and choosing him, always. Despite how I have been treated, I choose to protect his name for the sake of my children.
“I have NEVER EVER been unfaithful to the father of my children. I am a mom and I must prioritize my health and well-being.
“Thank you for respecting my privcy during this challenging time.”

Bonilla’s statement about never having been unfaithful to Gobert is an interesting one. Some speculated that something fishy may have been going on when Gobert ended the relationship after Bonilla revealed she was pregnant with their second child, but she is implying that was not the case.
Whatever issues that seem to be going on with Gobert’s personal lie have not hindered the Timberwolves during the playoffs. Minnesota has won both of their playoff series in five games to advance to the Western Conference finals. The 32-year-old Gobert is a three-time NBA All-Star and 4-time Defensive Player of the Year.
