Manchester United are rumoured to be among the clubs interested in signing Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo this summer and they could have the perfect welcome gift lined up if they choose to bring him to Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim faces a significant rebuild at the club due to what is shaping up to be a disappointing end to the Premier League campaign. Since the Portuguese head coach took over in November, United have dropped to 16th in the table, albeit still 17 points clear of the relegation zone.

While the upcoming Europa League final against Tottenham could offer something positive to cap off a frustrating season, there is no denying that major work needs to be done in the upcoming transfer window. Amorim, together with the club’s recruitment team, will need to make some big and decisive calls when it comes to both incomings and outgoings.

Among the names tipped to make a move to United this summer is Mbeumo, with the Brentford star reportedly attracting interest from a number of Premier League rivals. According to a report from The Telegraph earlier this month, United are preparing to battle Liverpool and Newcastle for the 25-year-old's signature.

Of course, departures may be necessary to pave the way for new arrivals, and one player who could be on the move is forward Joshua Zirkzee. Despite only arriving at Old Trafford from Bologna last summer, the Dutchman is already being linked with a return to Italy.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Champions League finalists Inter Milan have registered their interest and are preparing to table a formal bid.

Should Zirkzee leave - either for Inter or another destination - the No.11 shirt would become vacant. While Mbeumo currently wears the No.19 at Brentford, he previously wore the No.11 during his time at French club Troyes, before making the move to West London in the summer of 2019.

If the transfer domino's were to fall into place, the No.11 shirt could be the perfect transfer gift for the Cameroon international at Old Trafford.
