**Graham Potter is eager to bring in more backroom staff this summer ahead of the 2025/26 season, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.**

The Hammers boss has overseen a 2nd half of a difficult season, with much anticipation on what the summer can bring, with an overhaul of the squad expected as Potter shapes the squad to be much improved for the next campaign.

One area of attention also is the backroom team, with club insider Ex revealing this week that Graham Potter is eager to strengthen as he continues to shape the club to facilitate his vision going forward.

There has been reports in the media indicating that former striker Jermain Defoe could well be set to be appointed as a coach to join Potters team, however Ex has denied this is the case.

“The club are weighing up options at present to help build Potters backroom team,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Podcast. “There has been suggestions that Jermain Defoe is being considered, however we believe that this is not the case.

“Defoe has been in talks about a possible position in the Academy, however at this stage that is considered unlikely to happen.

“Potter wants to strengthen his staff as he continues to look at options for this summer, however its not expected to be Defoe as someone who will be appointed.”
