Leeds United’s attempts to strengthen in the summer window could see them plot a move to sign West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek.
Daniel Farke is aiming to buck his own trend of 20th-placed finishes as Norwich City manager after two unsuccessful attempts to tackle survival in the Premier League.
The 49ers are going to back the Leeds boss with new signings this summer, and a lot more Premier League experience might be required to help the side get through a tough season that awaits.

With Graham Potter in charge at the London Stadium, the former Brighton boss could be looking to take the Irons in a different direction, meaning the towering Czech midfielder could leave the club for the right price – it was also previously claimed that the 30-year-old could command a fee in the region of £10-15million, should Leeds or Everton pursue a deal.
David Moyes’ Everton are also named in the pursuit of Soucek, with Moyes previously being the West Ham boss when Soucek was signed.

Graham Potter heaps praise on West Ham midfielder and reported Leeds United target Tomas Soucek
The penultimate Premier League matchday of the season is midway through this weekend, interrupted today by the FA Cup final, with West Ham playing for nothing but pride in their home clash with Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.
For Soucek, it could be his final Hammers game at the London Stadium if a transfer elsewhere materialises, and Potter heaped praise on the midfielder during his pre-match press conference.
“He’s been a fantastic signing for the club first and foremost,” Potter said about Soucek, via West Ham.
“To deliver what he’s delivered over a period of time, brilliant in the boxes, helps defensively, set-pieces and then to chip in, as a midfielder, with goals is vital.
“Again, another one who goes about his work in a quiet way but always 100 per cent, always giving everything. So he’s been fantastic to work with.”
The sort of professional Leeds United might need, but midfield quality is sorely lacking
Soucek would bring undoubted physicality and goals from set pieces, but in terms of his overall midfield play, he’s not the player Leeds should be signing.
A towering presence in the middle of the park is required this summer, but Soucek rarely brings much more to the table than this.
His character is without question as well, but Leeds should be aiming to land players that can take a lot of responsibility in possession.
