Manchester United have already decided they will not sack Ruben Amorim if they lose the Europa League final.
The Red Devils face Tottenham in Bilbao on Wednesday night with a chance for silverware and Champions League football next season on offer to salvage their dire campaign.
Amorim took over in November and has overseen United's lowest finish in 50 years, but his future appears to be safe for the time being, whatever happens next week.
The Portuguese has been honest about United's troubles and has not hidden from the fact that the task ahead to rebuild the club will be substantial.
But according to the Mirror, Amorim will not be sacked if they suffer a disastrous defeat in Bilbao. With United bosses believing it would be madness to dismiss the 40-year-old.
