Steph Curry could only watch on from the bench on Wednesday as the Golden State Warriors' 2024-25 season came to an end at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves beat the Warriors 121-110 in Game 5 at Target Center to knock them out of the playoffs in the Western Conference Semifinals.
Curry ended up playing just 13 minutes in this series, as he suffered a hamstring strain in the second quarter of Game 1, which the Warriors won 99-88. Not long after, the two-time MVP was officially ruled out of Games 2, 3 and 4, with Game 6 being looked at as the earliest point of return.

That meant Curry needed his Warriors teammates to get one win in his absence after Game 1 to extend the series to the point where he could return. It wasn't to be, though, as the Timberwolves won four games in a row.
The writing appeared to be on the wall for the Warriors after the Timberwolves won Game 4 to take a 3-1 lead. Curry cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines in Game 5, and a clip recently went viral of him seemingly expressing his displeasure with Brandin Podziemski during a timeout.
It is unclear what Curry was frustrated about there. Podziemski would prove to be the Warriors' best player on the night, finishing with 28 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. He had failed to score more than 11 points in any of the first four games, but did his part when facing elimination. It unfortunately wasn't enough.
