Striker-on-striker studio violence during half time at the FA Cup final

Gary Lineker 'violated' Wayne Rooney with a brutal comment about his management in the BBC Studio at the FA Cup final.

Manchester City trailed Crystal Palace by a single goal after a brilliant breakaway by the Eagles was finished by Eberechi Eze in the first half.

City fans were left enraged when Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson wasn't sent off for denial of an obvious goalscoring opportunity, after which he saved Omar Marmoush's penalty and made a string of impressive stops before the break.

With Palace 1-0 up at the time, BBC studio pundit Micah Richards asked Rooney what he would say to his players if he were in Oliver Glasner's position with a one-goal lead at half time.

Lineker, in his anchor role in the studio, said that Rooney's teams "were never one up" at the break.
