**Yes, you read that correctly!**
Our third FA Cup Final proved a charm for the Eagles, who defeated Manchester City by a goal to 'nil at a sold-out Wembley Stadium on a day in our history which will never be forgotten.
Ebere Eze's clinical first-time finish in the first-half; a Dean Henderson penalty save from Omar Marmoush before the interval; and a defensive performance for the ages, one characterised by the most incredible commitment, courage and belief, all combined to see us through – in front of a sea of roaring Red and Blue fans at Wembley Stadium.
**The result sees Palace lift the FA Cup for the very first time.**
It further seals our place in the illustrious history of the world’s most famous domestic knockout tournament, [having helped found](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/features/how-palace-reached-the-fa-cups-first-ever-semi-final-153-years-ago/) the Cup in 1871, when we played in its first-ever semi-final tie.
The silverware is also our first since the Full Members’ Cup – also at Wembley in 1990/91 – and the very first major trophy in our 164-year existence.
Palace fans can not only look forward to a summer of celebrations – but also a historic first-ever tour in a major European competition proper, having automatically qualified for the league phase of next season’s UEFA Europa League.
Oliver Glasner’s side will also return to Wembley to compete in the 2025/26 season-opening FA Community Shield in August, where we will take on Premier League winners Liverpool.
**For now, though… let the celebrations begin.**
