Ruben Dias says City only have ourselves to blame after losing out in the FA Cup final to Crystal Palace.
Eberechi Eze’s first half strike was the difference at Wembley Stadium, despite the Blues dominating large parts of the tie.
Omar Marmoush saw a penalty saved by Dean Henderson before the break with Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Claudio Echeverri also all going close to a leveller.
There was further frustration when Henderson seemingly handled outside the area without punishment to prevent Haaland from bearing down on goal, but Dias insisted the focus must be on our own performance.
And with two crucial Premier League matches to go to guarantee Champions League football next season, there’s still plenty to fight for in 2024/25.

“We will feel however we have to feel today, but tomorrow wake up strong and ready to go again,” Dias reflected.
“These last two games are two massive finals for us, and they mean everything to us.
“We know how good they are, they were clinical and had that chance in the beginning and they make it happen.
“Then there was a lot of control from us, a lot of chances and we didn’t turn them into goals.
“We only have ourselves to blame for that and we have and must do better.”
