Emiliano Martinez waved his arm and cried when leaving Villa Park after their 2-0 win vs. Spurs yesterday. He is on a contract running until June 2027, but his future looks to be elsewhere.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta made a massive mistake. He allowed the Argentinian, a future World Cup winner, to leave The Emirates. This decision paved a path for a future at Aston Villa. Unai Emery said after the Spurs game he did not know what will happen.
The shot stopper is 32 years of age and currently valued to €25.00m, so he will not attract a heavy transfer fee. Mads Hermansen at Leicester is valued to €15.00m. Both goalkeepers could be on the move for a much higher fee than their market value.
Mads Hermansen has not been linked with Aston Villa. He is said to be a target for Brentford. Something that looks strange as they have a good alternative with Mark Flekken.

Aston Villa does not have a quality alternative to fill the gap after Emilio Martinez. If someone is willing to buy the Argentinian international, the fee should be close to €40.00m. We believe Leicester will be considering a sale of Mads Hermansen if a bid of €25.00m comes in.
Emilio Martinez has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. However, he is still eager to find a club in Europe. Chelsea and Arsenal are two clubs that need to strengthen the goalkeeper position. We will just wait and see what happens.
