What will the Auburn Tigers do when Tahaad Pettiford gets drafted to the NBA?

Fans of Auburn have been biting their nails in dismay at Tahaad Pettiford's choice of trying out for the NBA Draft. He does still have his college eligibility, but with comments like what he said on Wednesday, to Kevin Sweeney of SI.com, it’s hard to remain positive in the young freshman star’s return to the Tigers.

With the Pettiford draft situation looking bleak for a return, Auburn has to tear the band-aid off and move on.

Enter Kaden Magwood for the Auburn Tigers

Kaden Magwood is an aggressive guard who pushes the point of attack. With how versatile everyone is on this team, it would open up lanes for Kaden to drive, draw fouls, and make plays. He is an incredible freshman to put out on the floor after having Pettiford, and he may stay longer than one year.

If the Tigers and Bruce Pearl aren't happy with how their guard situation is turning out, there is an alternative that could have a huge impact on the team.

Enter PJ Haggerty for the Auburn Tigers

For PJ Haggerty, after not being ranked as a winner at the combine, a decision will have to be made for the All-American guard to either return to Memphis or pursue NIL money with a new team, but with comments like...

"If I have to (go back to college), then I have to," he said. "But right now, I’m just focused on the draft. I feel like it only takes one team to love you. Just seeing which team will take a chance on me. Which one will give me an opportunity to get drafted."

...if PJ feels like he isn’t going to be drafted, then going back to college would be the way to go, and joining a team that is on the hunt for a March Madness title, like the Auburn Tigers, sounds like a perfect way for the NBA world to see you on display again.
