Man Utd want to add an attacking midfielder to their squad in the summer transfer window.
There are few Crystal Palace fans who would stand in Eberechi Eze's way if he decided he wanted to leave the club this summer. When he wakes up this morning, feeling glad all over, he might realise he doesn't want to.
The 26-year-old was the standout player of the FA Cup this season and proved to be Palace's matchwinner with his well-taken goal against Man City on Saturday evening. That in itself was enough for many United fans to dream of his addition in the summer transfer window.
Eze now has six goals in his last four appearances across all competitions, which takes his tally to 13 goals and 11 assists this season. He is the beating star of this Palace side and was only outshone under the Wembley arch by teammates Dean Henderson and Daniel Munoz. In many ways, the FA Cup victory is the perfect time to leave the club, but after a first major trophy, there is perhaps no better time to play for the club either.

Eberechi Eze could be on the move this summer
Manchester United have made adding an attacking midfielder their priority in the summer transfer window, and if possible, they would even quite like to add two to their squad. Matheus Cunha seems certain to join regardless of whether they win the Europa League and is still the priority in that position, though there are others they admire too.
Bryan Mbuemo and Eberechi Eze are both in the category Cunha and would both cost a similar amount. Cunha has a £62.5 million release clause in his Wolves, while it is suggested Brentford would accept £60m for Mbuemo and Eze reportedly has a £68m clause in his current deal. It is hard to see either of those additional transfers completed unless they are in the Champions League next season.
Eze is only contracted to Palace until summer 2027 and if he were to leave this summer it would be on good terms. The attacker is not only an FA Cup winner, he is an England international. It would be hard to begrudge him a move to a bigger club, even if that club finished just above the relegation zone.
Tottenham Hotspur are another side who are interested in Eze and in that case, it could be that summer interest in him is dictated by who wins the Europa League final next week. After victory over City, he is guaranteed to have Europa League football at the very least next season. He might sacrifice that if he can play in the Champions League instead.
