It's the end of an era for Everton men's first team who play their final game at Goodison Park, ending 133 years of footballing heritage before the club moves to a new state-of-the art home on the Liverpool waterfront.
Today, May 18, thousands of supporters will line the surrounding streets to welcome the players ahead of the game against Southampton and celebrations will continue on the pitch after the final whistle. But the game will no longer mark the end of competitive football at the Grand Old Lady.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Goodison Park is set to become the home of Everton Women in a move that will retain the club’s presence in its historic home. To mark an end of an era for the Blues men's team at the historic stadium, we've delved into the archive to share these incredible photos capturing life at Goodison Park through the decades.
