The summer transfer window is quickly approaching, and Everton are expected to be very busy.
Everton are due to undergo major squad surgery this summer, with several first-teamers out of contract at the end of the season.
David Moyes admitted ahead of Sunday’s clash against Southampton that it’s not an ideal situation to be in.
“It’s a situation you don’t see very often,” the Everton boss explained. “I’m not saying there’s not 10 or 11 players out of contract at other clubs, but we’ve got five on loan, so we’ve got to give those players back unless we’re going to buy them.
“So it’s an unprecedented situation I see when I’ve come in. Do I really want a huge overhaul? Probably not.
“I think it’s too big a task to try and get it all done at once. But we’ll try and do our best to get ourselves better and hopefully move up the table.”
With that said, Moyes has just been given a major transfer boost to kickstart the squad rebuild.

MORE EVERTON STORIES
With Ashley Young leaving Goodison Park, the Toffees need a new right-back this summer and Coufal would fit the mould Moyes is after.
And now, the Czech Republic international has just confirmed that he will leave West Ham at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old will officially become a free agent on the 30th of June, so Everton could land his signature on a free transfer.
Leeds United also want to sign Coufal
Everton have competition for Coufal’s signature this summer.
According to talkSPORT, the newly promoted side are one of several clubs plotting a bargain deal for the veteran right-back.
Coufal’s preference is to stay in England, with his son Niclas only just joining West Ham’s academy ahead of the new season.
He wrote a heartfelt message to Niclas on his Instagram: “Dreams come true if we work hard to achieve them.
“You want to be like daddy since you have started to walk with a ball, and now you are on the path you have chosen to take.
“We will support you every single day, my love. The whole family is proud of you. Keep enjoying the game, work hard and have a lot of experiences on your football journey. We love you.”
