Supporters gathered in their thousands as Everton said farewell to the Grand Old Lady for the final time before their move to the Hill Dickenson Stadium next season.

There were unprecedented scenes around the stadium as fans arrived at the ground early, with huge queues for pubs and a sea of blue shirts in the streets surrounding the stadium.

And thousands of fans gathered on Goodison Road to await the arrival of the team bus, with line-ups set to be confirmed at 10.45am ahead of the noon kick-off.
