The Palace stopper was perhaps lucky to still be on the pitch when he denied Omar Marmoush from 12 yards after handling outside the area under pressure from Erling Haaland.
But Henderson would prove the Eagles’ hero on the day, pulling off excellent saves to deny Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Claudio Echeverri in particular.

Palace, meanwhile had the ball in the net again after the break only for the offside flag to cut Daniel Munoz’s celebrations short.
It means City’s search for an eighth FA Cup triumph continues, having been edged out in each of the past two finals.
With a crucial Premier League clash against Bournemouth on the horizon though, there’s still plenty for the squad to fight for in 2024/25.
