Everton are playing their final game at Goodison Park today against Southampton – and Seamus Coleman led the team out.
It is a big day for Evertonians, as they bid an emotional farewell to the Grand Old Lady.
The Toffees will make their move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the 2025/26 season, but today it is all about Goodison Park and reminiscing over all the amazing memories that have been made there.
And it was perhaps fitting that Seamus Coleman led Everton out today as captain.
He has been at the forefront of so many memories, and fans were delighted to see him make his first start since Boxing Day.
Sadly though, Coleman was forced off with an injury.

Coleman joined Everton all the way back in January 2009, and is undoubtedly an Everton legend.
The Republic of Ireland international has made 428 appearances for the club in total so far.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
But whether Coleman is able to make it 429 against Newcastle United remains to be seen.
Coleman had to be withdrawn today in Everton’s final game at Goodison Park against Southampton because of an injury he picked up.
It appeared to be related to his ankle.
Although it was not the afternoon Coleman would have been hoping for, fans at Goodison still made sure that he felt appreciated, as they chanted ’60 grand, 60 grand Seamus Coleman’, of course referencing how much Everton paid to sign him from Sligo Rovers.
Fans also gave him a standing ovation as he left the pitch to be replaced by fellow veteran Ashley Young.
Coleman one of the biggest Premier League bargains ever
It was a real shame to see Coleman forced off with an injury against Southampton.
But Everton fans gave him the brilliant reception he truly deserves.
Coleman is quite simply an Everton legend, and arguably one of the very best signings in the history of the Premier League.
He signed for just £60,000, and has made over 400 appearances for the club and during his prime, was easily one of the best in the league in his position.
He may have struggled with injuries in more recent times.
But you need only hear how people associated with Everton speak about him to realise just how valuable he’s still been. And the hope is that he will continue to be valuable in some capacity moving forwards.
David Moyes has said he needs Coleman, so we’ll see what happens in the coming weeks.
