Benfica are expecting wholesale changes in their squad this summer, following a disappointing end to the season.
Draws to Sporting CP and Braga in their final two fixtures of Liga Portugal saw them fall behind Sporting CP at the final hurdle and finish second.
This season marks the second running that Benfica have finished second behind Sporting CP, and changes are expected to be made to ensure it does not happen again.

The first of which could come in the dugout.
Benfica to shake things up
Bruno Lage is the Benfica head coach, taking over from Roger Schmidt at the start of last season.
Lage joined Benfica following a stint in Brazil with Botafogo, and before that, he was with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
He does have experience managing Benfica too, starting his managerial career there in 2018.

After coaching the B team, Lage was promoted to first team head coach in 2019, following the sacking of Rui Vitoria.
During his first stint at the club, he oversaw the emergence of Joao Felix, who would go on to join Atletico Madrid for around £113m, and won Benfica the league title.
He would leave at the end of the next season.
Changes on the pitch are expected too, and the departure of a former Manchester United player has today been confirmed.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to confirm that Angel Di Maria would leave the club as a free agent following the end of the season.
Di Maria joined Manchester United in 2014 from Real Madrid but failed to live up to expectations, and departed for PSG just one year later.
