Unsurprisingly, demand for tickets was high, and a large number of supporters were unable to get inside the stadium.
Nevertheless, those outside the stadium made sure they were just as involved in the celebrations of saying goodbye with an incredible moment before the game.

The move to Bramley-Moore Dock certainly represents the start of a new era, with The Friedkin Group now overseeing things on Merseyside too.
With that in mind, this will be a bittersweet moment for the supporters, who will be feeling optimistic about what the future holds under the management of the Scotsman.
Therefore, it’s nice for the supporters to have the opportunity to enjoy the moment one last time, hearing the iconic theme song ringing out at Goodison.
If Everton can get a strong summer transfer window under their belts and kick off next season in good form, it will surely make the move easier for supporters to adjust to.
