Duncan Ferguson could not resist a dig at Manchester United in Everton’s last game at Goodison Park.
The Blues said farewell to the Grand Old Lady with a 2-0 win against Southampton (18 May) as they prepare to move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Ferguson was on media duties with TNT Sports alongside the likes of Phil Jagielka and James Tarkowski and fired a savage remark towards the Red Devils.

Ferguson savages Ferdinand and Man United in Goodison remark
David Moyes‘ side cruised to victory against the Saints on an emotional afternoon but the Old Trafford outfit were on Ferguson’s mind in the contest.
Reminiscing on his time at the 132-year-old ground where he was beloved by Toffees supporters, he talked about a goal against the 20-time champions.

Speaking on TNT Sports (18 May, 13:28pm), he said: “I scored my last big goal against Manchester United to put us in the Champions League and that is when Manchester United were a good team by the way.
“For the younger viewers, Manchester United were a very good team back in the day.”
Ally McCoist fired back: “Just an interesting one for the viewers, was it Rio who dropped you for the goal?”
Ferguson replied: “Big Rio, yeah, Big Rio bounced off me, I told him to get into the gym.”
Everton can overtake Man United with good business
Ferguson’s comments were spot on, United are a fallen giant right now as Ruben Amorim has been unable to turn their fortunes around since he joined in November.
They sit 16th in the Premier League, three places and six points behind the Goodison outfit after a dismal season, which is set to be their worst in recent memory, a farcry from the years of success under Alex Ferguson.
Premier League Played GD Points

16. Man United 37 -12 39
The gap between the Blues and United.
If the Friedkin Group backs Moyes properly in the transfer window as they are expected to, the Blues could leapfrog United on the route back to major success.
The American owners will be aware of the Merseysiders’ nearly 30-year trophy drought and will be keen to end it as soon as possible and make the new era as successful as it can be.
The blue half of Merseyside last tasted success in the 1995 FA Cup final and it has been a miserable few years, with relegation battles and financial liability a theme of the disastrous Farhad Moshiri era.
United will also be keen to get back to winning regularly and competing for domestic titles and Champions League trophies but Ferguson’s joke is a sign of how far away they are, and it may be a long time before they are back at that level.
