Several players left Manchester United last season, with various levels of success at their subsequent clubs.

Mason Greenwood left to Marseille and has thrived, scoring 21 goals in Ligue 1 this season – a record-breaking amount for a debutant season at Marseille since 2000.

Scott McTominay has had an incredible season at Napoli.

The Scott has scored 11 goals and has been omnipresent in a Napoli team that could win Serie A next week.

Alvaro Carreras has enjoyed another success story, finding his feet at Benfica and now linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer.

It hasn’t been all success, however, with Raphael Varane’s struggle with injuries leading to his retirement from football while at Como.

One player who has enjoyed a brilliant season since leaving United, is Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Wan-Bissaka voted player of the year

The 27-year-old left to West Ham for around £15m last summer and has thrived in claret and blue.

Despite West Ham having a poor season, they have today announced that Wan-Bissaka has been voted their “Hammer of the year” for his efforts.

The Englishman has provided a consistent and reliable presence on the West Ham right flank throughout the season, missing just three league matches so far.

He has scored two goals, one notably away at Newcastle United, in one of West Ham’s ten league wins this season.

The right-back has also recorded standout performances against Arsenal and Manchester United, starring as West Ham won at both Old Trafford and the Emirates.

While Manchester United may not regret the sale of Wan-Bissaka, his form does raise questions over his failure to reach success in Manchester.
