Arne Slot and Liverpool Football Club are acting fast in the transfer market.
The season is not even over and the final touches are being put onto the first player coming into the club.
And, unless you’ve been living under a rock recently, you’ll know that the first man to join the club is going to be Jeremie Frimpong.
Liverpool have found their replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold before he has even left the club.
Alexander-Arnold is set to leave his boyhood club in the summer after 21 years at the club.
It is believed that the England right-back will be moving to Spain and joining Real Madrid.
With the departure of such a key player, a replacement was needed and Liverpool have found their man in Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
DaveOCKOP broke the exclusive news yesterday that Liverpool reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of Frimpong.
Official news emerged from the club yesterday that fellow right back Conor Bradley has signed a new long term deal also, with both Bradley and Frimpong expected to vie for the role next season.
With that news in mind, LFC fans are trying to work out what the next steps are in the process of securing Frimpong’s signature.
DaveOCKOP can exclusively reveal that Jeremie Frimpong has successfully completed his Liverpool medical.
With that formality completed, the Dutchman will join the club once he has signed his contract that will secure his time at Anfield until 2030.
The German Bundesliga season concludes yesterday for Bayer Leverkusen and marked the last time that Frimpong will have played for the club.
He will be leaving Leverkusen alongside head coach Xabi Alonso, who will be joining Real Madrid, and fellow defender Jonathan Tah.
Unlike the latter pair, Jeremie Frimpong will at least secure a fee for the club this summer.
With the medical now complete, expect to hear an official announcement from the club in the very near future.
