Everyone is currently waiting for the season to end, but there are still two games left to play out. Sevilla away has provided some entertainment during previous campaigns, but it was difficult to escape the feeling that this fixture was a little bit empty. Sevilla went down to ten men early on, but the only other real highlight of the first half was a squandered Kylian Mbappé chance with minutes left on the clock. At any other point of the season, this would have been agonising - but it seemed the players were happy to go with the flow on this occasion. 0-0 at half-time - but Real Madrid with the numeric advantage for the second half.
Sevilla immediately went down to 9 men after the break, and even a Real Madrid side without purpose were licking their lips at this opportunity. Fede Valverde came close to an opener, before Kylian Mbappé was the man to put Madrid ahead. Jude Bellingham would make it two before full-time, with Castilla hero Gonzalo García getting the assist. 2-0 at the final whistle. If only they could always play under no pressure, right?
