West Ham are ready for the season to finish, with plenty of work for Graham Potter to do during the summer transfer window.
The boss has failed to really get going since his arrival at the London Stadium, although with limited transfer activity during the winter window, Potter is yet to be truly judged.
Having won a European competition only two years ago, supporters at West Ham will know the levels they can reach and will be eager to get their hands on a trophy once more.
If this Premier League season has proven anything, it’s that the top flight is open and any side can push towards the top.
With Crystal Palace having won the FA Cup by beating Manchester City on Saturday (17 May), that only served as another reminder.

Jarrod Bowen reacts to Crystal Palace win
There are just three positions and nine points separating the Hammers and Crystal Palace this season, and a small number of differences between the sides could have pulled them much closer together.
Team Position Goal Difference Points
Crystal Palace 12 -2 49
West Ham 15 -18 40
Crystal Palace have had a better season than West Ham
Therefore, with the likes of Palace and Newcastle getting their hands on silverware at Wembley Stadium, West Ham supporters will be hoping that if they get things right off the pitch, they could soon find themselves in a similar position.
There will be plenty of work to be done in the summer transfer window, making the necessary additions to strengthen the squad.
In the meantime, the Hammers’ players will be required to watch success from afar.
Palace star man Eberechi Eze scored the only goal of the game to give his side victory on the main stage and he took to Instagram to celebrate the win.
Jarrod Bowen sent his congratulations with a like on the post, while former Irons man Grady Diangana also liked the post.
West Ham want to see better times ahead
Potter will be well aware that there are high expectations being placed on his shoulders during the summer transfer window and he has to be prepared to meet them.
Several areas need reinforcements and David Sullivan has no excuse not to show the boss the support to bring the new faces into the club.
The East London outfit can’t get carried away with walking before they can run and progressing up the Premier League table has to be a core aim next term.
However, there is no reason not to be ambitious either, and if the Irons got their hands on a trophy once more, it would certainly be a big relief.
