According to Marc Stein, the Mavericks will reject any trade offers involving the No. 1 pick and are set on selecting Cooper Flagg.

One source told Stein that the Mavs won’t even consider MVP-level players in a potential deal for the pick.

"No chance. No … not even for Giannis," one source told Marc Stein, describing the Mavericks' mindset regarding their draft decision.

Flagg is viewed as an immediate impact player and a long-term franchise cornerstone.

Last season at Duke, Flagg earned numerous individual honors and led his team to the NCAA Tournament semifinals, averaging 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.
