Manchester City are gearing up for a busy summer transfer window as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
Pep Guardiola’s side have faced various challenges this season, having failed to defend their Premier League title for a fifth year in a row.
Man City spent around £200million on new signings in January as Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and Nico Gonzalez all made the move to the Etihad.
The Manchester giants’ performances have improved over the past few months as they are well placed to qualify for the Champions League, with five spots on offer to top-flight clubs this season.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider the club could look to move on the likes of Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan, Nathan Ake, John Stones and Jack Grealish this summer.
Man City’s wage bill stood at £412million last season as their salary expenditure remains the highest in the Premier League.

Man City could face transfer restrictions
Borson insisted there is going to be a limit on what Man City can spend this summer.
He told Football Insider: “City have got big headroom on PSR.
“I think that the budgets are going to be self-imposed and also limited by just the size of the squad now in terms of players that they don’t necessarily want going forward. Kevin De Bruyne will obviously leave and that will free up a big chunk of salary.
“But there are a number of players in that sort of group, like Bernardo Silva, Gundogan, possibly one of Ake or Stones, players that haven’t played very much this season because of injury but are getting to their 30s or are 30.
“There is also Grealish. Those players are on very big money that they’re going to want to move on, but they are not going to be able to do it at a profit.
“They are going to have to take a haircut. So, the challenge really will be how many of those sorts of players can they remove from the squad?
“Because I think they will build the squad bigger for the demands of the season, but there’s a limit, and there’s a limit on the wage bill.
“They have already got a wage bill of over £400million.”
